2005 National Estralita Deluxe
2005 National Estralita Deluxe
Here’s something you don’t every day: a 21st century new model for National, hand built in California!
Originally released in 2001, the Estralita Deluxe featured walnut back and sides with a, frankly, gorgeous figured maple laminate top, finished in sunburst and outlined with triple ivoroid/black/ivoroid binding. The walnut neck, fitted with an ivoroid-bound rosewood fingerboard and mother-of-pearl diamond inlays is topped with a slotted headstock with a white pearloid overlay sports the engraved National logo, paired with open-gear vintage-style tuners.
While visually refined, the standout feature is its tone—rich, resonant, and well-suited for strumming, fingerpicking, or slide. True to its translation, the Estralita (“Little Star”) definitely lives up to its name.
The neck is a true vintage “V”, coming almost to a sharp point. Great playing and great feeling for those who like vintage style guitars.
This example, now 20 years old, is in great condition for its age, with a few marks throughout, including a white line on the lower bout bass side, and some dings on the headstock.
Comes with a hardshell case.
