The LG series, maybe the most ubiquitous series of guitars gibson made in the mid 20th century, ranged from student model all mahogany guitars to the venerable LG-3 with its nearly J-45 like construction quality and sound. The LG-2, in many people’s opinion the best of the bunch, with its X-Braced spruce top and mahogany back and sides, with a gorgeous sunburst finish.

This particular one from 1947 is in great vintage condition, with only a couple repaired things: some re-glued top braces, new tuners, and a decent amount of checking on it. Super playable, very open and warm sound that rivals contemporary dreads.
