Early 80's Lowden G7-12
Early 80's Lowden G7-12
This is a great old early 80’s Lowden G7-12, a high-end vintage 12-string acoustic guitar from the renowned Lowden workshop. It features a voluminous O-shaped body, a soundfully opened spruce top, and African Ovangkol back and sides. The guitar has a mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, bone nut, and a two-piece bone bridge. Its Lowden Gotoh tuners with tortoise pegs add to its elegant design.
As one of the early Lowden models, this great 12-String showcases early Lowden’s exceptional eye for craftsmanship and tone. Its large O-body shape paves the way for great resonance and a rich, clear sound that’s warm, deep, and precise with balanced bass and brilliant trebles. The playability is smooth, with a 1 22/25 nut (slimmer than a normal 12 string), and a nice comfy slim C-shaped neck.
Center seam split repaired, bridge reglued, some finish markings around the neck joint that indicate old movement, but probably not a neck reset.
Comes with hard case.
