With only 150 made, this limited edition Martin D-42 with Koa back and sides is a sought after piece of Martin history. Koa, the Hawaiian wood known for use on ukuleles, 20s Martins, and decorative inlay, has a mature, warm sound similar to mahogany but slightly brighter. This great old dread has that warmth in spades, and is nice and playable thanks to the 30’s ish neck profile and responsive feel. Great condition.
