1970's NBN R-1

$2,800.00

Made in Longmont, Colorado, by Monty Novotny, right around the same time as essential 70’s builders such as Mossman and Gurian were getting their start, NBN guitars were a staple of hard hitting 70’s guitarists and could be seen on stages anywhere from bluegrass flatpicking festivals to folk rock concerts in the hands of the likes of James Taylor, Mark Knopfler, Paul Simon, and more.

This guitar, an R-1 model, meaning the base Rosewood model, has had one of those lives, as you can see by the copious but well earned play wear. A repaired top crack, a bridge reglue, and some binding splitting all point toward a well played but well taken care of Colorado instrument. The 1 ¾ nut is super comfy thanks to the nice C profile, and the Jumbo body gives this guitar a huge sound.

Comes with hard shell case.
