This is a great, warm yet distinct sounding 000-28 from a great year for these mid 50’s martins. The neck is smaller than the 30’s at 1 11/16, with a slightly more V-turning-into-C shaped profile. The original closed back Kluson tuners are more usable than a 30’s Martin’s tuners often are at this point in its lifespan. These 50’s Martins are highly underrated, great collector’s pieces that won’t absolutely destroy the bank, but still valuable enough for both players and collectors alike. Replacement bridge, neck reset.
