C. 1913 Gibson A Mandolin
C. 1913 Gibson A Mandolin
These nondescript “A” models, sometimes known as the A Jr (Depending on the year, probably not at this point in the teens) were the cheapest way to get into the Gibson mandolin market in the early 20th Century, with Gibson omitting the labels, inlays, and sticking to a natural finish with bottom shelf woods. This one, amazingly, is all original, which given its 110 year plus age, is astoundingly rare.
