Mid 1950's Kay K-161 "Thin Twin"

$1,600.00

Essentially exactly the guitar Jimmy Reed used to play, this big necked, extremely vibe-y Thin Twin is the same model of guitar made by a lot of the Kay-adjacent brands in the 1950’s and 60’s, etc Silvertone, and has a great 50’s vibe that’s hard to capture with modern guitars; from the huge 50’s profile neck to the low output, super round sounding “Blade” pickups (that are actually huge slabs mounted sideways in the body) to the bakelite knobs, it’s definitely a product of its time.

Great condition, comes with non-original foam case.
