Early 1990's Deering Boston 6-String Banjo
Early 1990's Deering Boston 6-String Banjo
Here’s a fun one for the guitar player looking to add that banjo sparkle without having to learn a whole new tuning system. The Deering Boston 6 is a six-string banjo designed to deliver classic banjo tone with the playability and tuning of a standard guitar (EADGBE). Whether you're a guitarist wanting to dabble in bluegrass or just looking for something to add a bright, percussive layer to your recordings, this one’s a great fit.
This early 90’s example features a satin brown finish over a double-bound mahogany resonator, paired with a mahogany neck and a radiused ebony fingerboard with inlay. The 11" frosted top head sits on a steel rim with 24 brackets and a single coordinator rod. Other details include a beveled tension hoop, butterfly flange plates, and a 6-string tailpiece.
There’s some tarnish on the tailpiece and the hardware, but it plays great.
Comes with a gig bag.
